Money Markets and Share Certificates
A regular savings account is a good way to begin your savings plan, but to really grow, an ENY FCU money market or share certificate will offer higher yields, and the security of knowing your money is insured safe. Plus, both will keep your money working here, in the community.
Money Market
A money market at Eastern offers high yields, and gives you the flexibility to make unlimited deposits, and limited withdrawals and transfers.
With an ENY FCU money market, the more you save, the higher your rate. We have tiers of $2,500, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000...all the way up to $75,000, so can open your money market with just $2,500, and as your balance increases, you'll automatically be eligible for and receive the higher rate in the next tier.
Share Certificates
Breaking news! Sliding-term Dream Certificates!
Not sure how long you can commit to a certificate? ENY is pleased to announce Dream Certificates, which let you choose your term from a range...12-23 months, 24-35 months, 36-47 months and 48-59 months. And the rates are amazing too!
If you can afford to invest your money for a fixed amount of time without needing to access it, an ENY FCU share certificate is a great way to go. Share certificates offer our highest yields over terms of 90 days all the way up to 5 years. Best of all, you can open a share certificate at Eastern with just $500.
We also offers Market Index Certificates, which are tied to the performance of the Standard & Poor's 500 Stock Index. You can take advantage of movement in the stock market, but sleep soundly knowing your investment is completely safe.
A great way to make use of certificates is to accumulate savings in your regular savings account every paycheck with Direct Deposit. Then when you have enough to invest in a certificate, just give us a call and open a certificate account. It's that simple, and the rewards can last a lifetime.
We let you know when a certificate is about to mature, and you have the option of renewing it ("rolling it over") or transferring it to another account.
Please note: if you withdraw from a share certificate prior to its maturity, there will be a penalty.
